Getting to know… PolyJumps

We’re delighted to welcome PolyJumps back to the National Equine Show 2025 as the sponsor of the Eventer Experience- a popular attraction that gets a lot of interest during the show, allowing people to jump cross country fences on a simulated horse, without leaving the warmth of the NEC! We caught up with Karen Drinkwater to find out more about PolyJumps, why the company loves the National Equine Show, and what’s in store for 2025…

Karen, can you tell us a bit about PolyJumps?

“We manufacture and market equestrian training and jumping equipment. Anything from jumps, wings and poles to dressage arenas and that sort of thing. In addition, we do hay balls and several over stable and yard items such as the corner feeder, hay feeder, a mounting block on wheels, and we manufacture in the UK on behalf of Dungbeetle who have a very nice pooper scooper. I don’t think people are aware how much dressage equipment we do. We also do anything to do with pole work, like pole raisers and cavalettis.”

What’s your latest release?

“We’re working on one at the moment that will be at the National Equine Show, but prior to that it was the Pole Pendants. These thread onto existing poles and come in hearts and circles. You can have them plain in lots of different colours or you can personalise with your own graphics. You can use as many as you like per pole, it’s a bit different for the horse and they are also really easy to store.”

You’ve been at the National Equine Show since the start – what do you like about the show?

“We were one of the initial exhibitors and it’s been really nice to see the show develop. It’s a bit different and doesn’t have the same feel as some of the other shows and I think that freshness really does show in what’s going on. We also sponsor the Eventer Experience as well and that’s great. I like that there are these added experiences and features too, so people aren’t just expected to come and buy, there’s lots to do at the show too.”

What’s the Eventer Experience?

“We have a mechanical horse on the stand and there’s a TV screen in front of you and it  runs different programmes for people to experience. More than just fun though, the horse can pick up your strengths and weaknesses. It’s a really great feature.”

What’s your favourite thing about the National Equine Show?

“It’s a different audience for us. It’s a much more diverse audience and we end up speaking to people we don’t normally speak to, and we really do love speaking to customers and people interested in what we do! It’s expanded our audience and that’s what I really like. We also love working with the team behind the National Equine Show, the organisation is so professional and they’re so prepared, it just gives you that extra confidence and it works so well for us. We also love the team’s ethos with environmental issues. They’re encouraging people to travel by train, and the environmental awareness sits really well with us as a company.”

What can people expect to see from your stand in 2025?

“Our new product will be there, some of our sponsored riders will be attending, and you can come and get to know us and the products too. It’s always nice to meet people. We’re also there to talk people through and put together packages. There will also be show discounts and we’ll be running a competition for anyone who comes and sees us on the stand. We haven’t decided what it is for 2025 yet, but we’ve given away considerable prizes before, so you won’t want to miss out!”
