How are you working to reduce the carbon footprint at the show?

From working with the venue, looking at ourselves and collaborating with exhibitors. But here’s the thing… Visitors’ travel is the biggest carbon emitter of each show. So we need your help. Taking the train instead of driving will reduce the emissions of your journey by around 80%. The NEC is a 5-minute walk from Birmingham International train station or 90 seconds by the free air-rail walk. If you need to drive, car share with friends and reduce your impact by 50%. There’s a great network of cycle and footpaths in the area and bike racks are near the entrance. There are also electric car charging point and more to come in the future…

Is there a cloakroom?

The NEC has a cloakroom before you enter the Show. Visitors with a VIP Ticket will have access to a VIP Cloakroom in the VIP Lounge.

Do I need to book to see a speaker?

No need to book, our speaker programme is included as part of your ticket and seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Will there be food stalls?

Yes, there will be a number of NEC-managed food stalls, and some of our exhibitors will sell packaged food items too.

Are there any horses at your event?

No, this is a retail focused event providing a great day out for horse lovers but there are no horses or demonstrations at the show.

Will I need ID?

We do not require ID to gain entry to the Show.

My question isn’t here

If you still have a question, please email us on [email protected]

The Neurocentric Rider Injury Clinic

Sponsored by

PB Movement

PB Movement are excited to bring our clinic to The National Equine Show and meet the visitors. The Neurocentric Rider Injury Clinic will focus on a brain based approach to all things relating to horse riding. We look at how your brain and nervous system is working by using a higher order system.  When you get tightness,  weakness, wonkiness, pain or dysfunction it is due to an output reaction to your brain feeling like its threatened.  We work on getting your body working for you instantly through looking at how your brain and body communicate and use this to help you perform better as a rider.

To book your session here: Calendly - Lotti Hutchinson

Welcome to the National Equine Show

WELCOME

Liz Ormesher

Welcome to the FIRST National Equine Show at the NEC! We have been looking forward to sharing this awesome event with you all, so we truly hope that you enjoy what we have on offer for you! Whatever type of horse person you are, there will be something at this show for you.

We have curated this show to have something for everyone and we strive for it to be as inclusive as possible showing that the equestrian world is a place for everyone and you are all welcome as part of our community.

Take your time going around the show to see well known brands and new brands that you have discovered. Take the opportunity to speak to the experts at the show to get the best advice on products, brands, and services.

So, what can you find at the event? Two stages with amazing speakers and content – The Inspiration Stage sponsored by LeMieux and The Skills Theatre will play host to speakers including Carl Hester, Piggy March, Esme Higgs , Sir Lee Pearson and many more. The Skills Theatre will play host to the first Yard Supplement Connect conference for Yard owners brought to you by Equestrian Index. Head over to the Agenda button on the Show Guide to see who is speaking, when and where.

Fun stuff to do? Yes plenty! We will have the Equipe Dressage Experience using the Racewood Dressage Simulator and the PolyJumps Eventer Experience using the Eventer model. These features will be popular so get there early! We also have EEquine bring you a Rider Wellness Zone with balance classes to get involved in, PB Movement with their Rider Injury Clinic, JockeyCam with their Virtual Reality experience, The Nail Bus for a little show pamper and many more fun things to do on some of our exhibitors’ stands.

This is a retail event and you will be able to purchase onsite so make sure your arms are ready!

On display are hundreds of brands and thousands of products. Our exhibitors are here to help you choose the Riderwear, Horsewear and anything else you might need. Please do take the time to see all the stands as there are new brands and services which you may not yet have seen.

Finally, we also have some exciting plans for 2024 which will be announced at the end of the show on Sunday at the Inspiration Stage including some wonderful new guests for 2024.

If you’d like to share any feedback about the event (good or constructive) then please do contact me at any time – your feedback is important and helps us build a better event for the future, so look out for the visitor survey post event too.

Thank you again for coming and being part of the National Equine Show Community,

With best wishes

He took the triple title (team, individual and freestyle) at the 2000 Sydney Paralympics, 2004 Athens Paralympics and 2008 Beijing Paralympics, setting an equestrian world record by being unbeaten at three consecutive Paralympic Games.

In 2003, he became the first disabled person to have won a title at the British Dressage National Championships while competing against non-disabled riders when he took the 2003 elementary restricted title.

Competing at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, Lee came away with three medals, Team gold, Individual silver and bronze in the Grade Ib competition; 2015 saw him secure Team gold and two Individual silvers at the European Championships out in Deauville.

At Rio 2016, Lee’s career achievements were recognised when he was chosen to be the ParalympicsGB flagbearer for the Opening Ceremony, leading the team into the Maracana at his fifth Games.

Once competition got under way, Lee swiftly claimed the 13th Paralympic dressage medal of his career with a silver in the individual competition, scoring an impressive 74.103 on horse Zion as Austria’s Pepo Puch took gold to upgrade his bronze from London 2012.

Lee’s fortunes changes in the individual freestyle test (Ib) where he went on to secure his eleventh Paralympic gold medal – his 14th of any colour. Riding Zion, Lee won with a total of 77.400% ahead of Pepo Puch of Austria in silver and Denmark’s Stinna Kaastrup, who took bronze.

He received a CBE in 2009 and then in 2016, he was made a Sir, receiving a knighthood in the New Year Honours List for services to equestrianism and disability sport.
