Tom McEwen

Olympic Individual Silver & Team Gold Medalist

Tom McEwen MBE is one of Britain’s most accomplished event riders, celebrated for his consistency on the world stage. Rising through the pony, junior, and young rider ranks with multiple European medals, Tom has become a cornerstone of modern British eventing success, with two Olympic golds, an individual Olympic silver, and a 2025 European bronze to his name.

Tom made his Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020, where he and Toledo de Kerser helped Great Britain secure their first team eventing gold in nearly half a century, alongside a hard fought individual silver medal. Four years later, at Paris 2024, Tom once again delivered under pressure, contributing to Team GB successfully defending their team gold medal at the iconic Palace of Versailles.

At the 2025 European Championships at Blenheim Palace, Tom continued his run of form, this time riding JL Dublin, clinching individual bronze and reinforcing his position among Europe’s elite riders.

Based at his yard in Gloucestershire, Tom is widely respected for his relaxed riding style, attention to detail, and commitment to developing young horses through the levels. In recognition of his achievements and contribution to equestrian sport, he was awarded an MBE in the 2022 New Year Honours.
