Grand Prix dressage rider Tania Grantham is a pole work specialist, rider and trainer, based in South East England. Tania’s incredibly innovative and fun pole work layouts have earned her a large social media following, with her videos enjoying over a million views a month – and these numbers are growing! As well as frequently posting videos of her pole layouts, Tania candidly shares her own highs and lows as a trainer, rider and competitor, forming solidarity with her followers by sharing her own triumphs, challenges, mistakes and solutions with genuine warmth and humour. Tania trained and competed her own horse, Samarino (Sam) from just backed to Grand Prix and rides, trains and competes Seni Ilustrisimo III (Igloo) and Seni Usio V (Norman, whom Tania co-owns) and Roquito (Rocky) for owner Michelle Van Meurs. With Igloo, a Spanish stallion by Seni Indio, Tania represented Great Britain at the MCI Europeans in Belgium where they achieved team silver and individual silver in the Lisboa. In 2023, Igloo and Tania won British Dressage Associated GBPRE Gold Prix St George Championship. Tania is a published author, and her book, The Polework Journal is available now, along with her equestrian clothing range. Tania writes pole work training features on a regular basis for Horse Deals Australia, Horse & Rider UK and appears in Horse & Rider’s Ask The Experts section. Tania is currently appearing on Horse & Country TV presenting a pole work series, ‘Back to Basics’. Throughout 2024, Tania has been working with jump and pole manufacturer Jump 4 Joy, to develop a new type of pole raiser that will seamlessly fit into her shape based layouts, allowing users even more variation within their training. The raisers were launched Summer 2025.
Katie Gilmour is a Webby and ESMA award winning journalist with a CV boasting BBC Radio One, Granada Television, EMAP Elán, BBC, Discovery Networks International, Channel 4 and Horse & Country TV. A keen equestrian with a special interest in dressage, Katie undertakes written commissions on equestrian topics, general lifestyle and comment pieces. Katie is based on her family farm in West Sussex with her husband, four children and a collection of horses, ponies, dogs, cats and poultry. Katie is the UK correspondent for American podcast ‘Horses In The Morning ’ on the Horse Radio Network and hosts live events, most recently the PONY Magazine Big Day Out. She offers media training, including camera and voice training.
