Kerry Ingram is a British actress best known to equestrian audiences for playing Becky Sidebottom in Netflix’s much loved series Free Rein. As part of the Bright Fields gang, Becky brought humour, warmth and an infectious enthusiasm for horses to the screen. Her loyalty to her friends and love of adventure made her a memorable part of the show’s stories of friendship, riding and life at the stables.
Kerry played Becky across all three series, as well as the festive special Free Rein: The Twelve Neighs of Christmas and Free Rein: Valentine’s Day. Alongside her fellow cast members, she helped bring to life a series that connected with young horse lovers around the world.
Her career also spans theatre and television. Kerry was one of the original young actresses to play the title role in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda the Musical, sharing the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2012. She went on to portray Shireen Baratheon in HBO’s Game of Thrones, demonstrating her versatility across very different roles.
At the National Equine Show, Kerry will reunite with her Free Rein co-star ‘Callum’ played by Joe Ashman for a special Q&A, giving fans the chance to hear behind the scenes stories, favourite memories and insights into bringing the world of Bright Fields to life. They will also take part in a Meet & Greet, offering visitors the opportunity to meet the pair and celebrate the series together.
