Emma is a full-time Horse Portrait Photographer and her work focuses on capturing her client’s unique relationship with their horses, in surroundings that are special to them.
In 2020, she became one of the first photographers in the UK to be awarded Master Craftsman status in Equine Photography by The Guild of Photographers. That same year, she won both Equine Image of the Year and the Guild’s prestigious Overall Image of the Year (Judges’ Choice). Her work has been exhibited at the Design Museum in London and published in Horse & Hound, Country Life, Digital Camera, Equine Business (USA) and regional lifestyle magazines.
Emma holds a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science and Business, alongside a postgraduate qualification in Photojournalism. In 2024, she became a Panel Member, Judge, and Mentor with The Guild of Photographers and was invited to judge at ClickMasters Live and The British Photography Awards. She also holds an ILM Mentoring qualification with the British School of Coaching.
Alongside her photography, Emma owns a Fell pony called Louie and enjoys gardening in her spare time.
