Equestrianism is Ali’s lifelong passion and she is keen to improve the sport for everyone. As director on the British Equestrian Federation Board, Ali contributes to the progression of the sport from grassroots to Olympic level with an emphasis on horse welfare and increasing opportunities for people to connect with horses. Her beloved horse Jim Jam underwent colic surgery in 2021. Now he has recovered and been rehabilitated she promotes colic awareness. In her local area, Ali works to maintain and enhance access to bridleways and land for horse riders and is a great believer in the power of volunteering to make positive change. At home with her horse, Ali’s enjoys training for dressage and continuing to deepen her bond with Jim Jam.
