The Society of Master Saddlers is a membership organisation, a training provider and an End-Point Assessor. Our mission is, with the welfare of the horse being paramount, to support a prosperous UK Saddlery industry, to be informed by research and to pursue the highest standards.
We are the first point of call for anyone considering working in the saddlery industry to make or fit saddles, bridles or harness. We design and deliver world leading saddle and bridle fitting training pathways and courses. We deliver education on the importance of well-made and well-fitting saddlery items alongside horse and rider fitness in relation to welfare.
We are an international organisation with nearly 600 members in 15 different countries all dedicated to maintaining our very high standards and educating both the riding public and the fitters and saddlers of the future.
