Her area of interest is the performance horse. On a personal level, lizzie has ridden since the age of 9 and has a particular interest in dressage. She has 2 horses that she trains and competes at British Dressage and pride and joy is her Hanoverian, chestnut gelding, Ferdi. Together they have progressed through the levels from Novice level to advanced. Her second horse is a young 6 year homebred who is 3rd generation from her parents Irish Draught Hunter. Working with horses daily on a personal level and experiencing first hand some of the challenges that riders, owners and the horses themselves face during training and preparation for competitions, means that Lizzie fully understands the needs of her clients and enjoys working with clients of any level and experience to provide them the ‘tool box’ of solutions to help ensure that they get the best out their horses and ponies and most of all to enjoy them in the knowledge and confidence that Lizzie will always be on hand to help. Lizzie is now also a published author and has recently published a book (Evidence based equine nutrition) in conjunction with her co-editor Dr Teresa Hollands another well known International nutritionist where they have excelled at bringing the science of equine nutrition into a practical ‘go to’ book aimed specifically at veterinarians and students.
