My equine professional journey started in early 2023. I embarked on an incredible adventure as an Equine Sports and Rehabilitation Massage Therapist. Initially I studied a level 4 certification in lameness and rehabilitation followed by a full equine sports massage qualification. My background in pharmacy gave me the foundation knowledge of anatomy and physiology which was transferable into an equine context. During my training I was able to work with the most amazing horses and their owners to further enhance my practice and positively impact on the horses well-being through the application of effective bodywork.
As a student I had an article published with the IAAMB which explored the incredible journey of an equine sports massage therapist student. My plans for the future are to collaborate with fellow equine professionals and horse owners to further strengthen and develop my skills and knowledge of equine bodywork, thriving to be an outstanding massage practitioner.
