Sustainability will once again be a key focus at the National Equine Show 2026, as environmental sustainability specialists White Griffin return as sponsors of the show’s Sustainability Awards, celebrating exhibitors who are helping to drive positive change within the equestrian industry.
The Sustainability Awards form part of the wider National Equine Show Exhibitor Awards, which recognise excellence across the exhibitor community. Award categories for 2026 include Best Stand 18sqm and over, Best Stand under 18sqm, Best New or Small Business Stand, Best Stand Activation, alongside the two sustainability categories: Sustainable Business of the Year and Sustainable Product of the Year.
All awards will be presented during the Exhibitor Drinks on Saturday 28 February 2026, held at the NEC Birmingham, as part of the National Equine Show weekend (28 February – 1 March 2026).
White Griffin is well known for supporting the equestrian sector, alongside the wider sports and culture industries, in transitioning towards a more sustainable future. Their return to the National Equine Show reinforces the event’s ongoing commitment to championing responsible business practices across the exhibitor community.
Director of White Griffin and Sustainability Awards judge, Ruth Dancer, said:
“Last year’s winners, Westgate Labs, were recognised for their all-round commitment to sustainability across every aspect of their business. We’re excited to return to the National Equine Show and see how exhibitors are continuing to innovate — whether that’s through reducing carbon emissions, conserving water, supporting nature, rethinking materials and packaging, or addressing pollution and other environmental challenges.”
The Sustainable Business of the Year and Sustainable Product of the Year awards are designed to highlight exhibitors who have authentically embedded sustainability into their operations or products, rather than treating it as a standalone initiative. They celebrate meaningful action, innovation and long-term thinking within the equestrian industry.
National Equine Show Event Director, Liz Ormesher, said:
“Our exhibitors are at the heart of the National Equine Show, and these awards are one of the ways we can recognise and celebrate the incredible brands and organisations making a real difference. Sustainability is a core value of the show, and we’re delighted to be working with White Griffin once again to spotlight the progress being made across our exhibitor community.”
From sustainable saddlery and durable stable solutions to circular fashion and second-hand equestrian style, the Sustainability Awards celebrate the exhibitors helping to shape a more environmentally responsible future for the equine world.
